“Now, I’m More Of A Believer”: Trump Makes Amazing Post-Assassination Attempt Faith Announcement
Speaking during his X (formerly Twitter) space conversation with X owner and promoter Elon Musk on the night of Monday, August 12, former President Donald Trump spoke about how the assassination attempt on him that occurred during his Butler, PA, campaign rally in July increased his Christian faith.
According to the former president, it was the very moment that the bullet struck him in the ear that he realized he was hit, which was the reason that he was able to get to the ground and to cover, with the Secret Service piling around him, so quickly. It was only after he got to the ground and the threat neutralized that he yelled, “Fight!” and was escorted off the stage.
But in addition to knowing that he had been hit by a bullet, Trump knew that God was protecting him. According to former President Trump, the fact that he turned his head at just the right moment to dodge the assassin’s bullets without knowing they were headed his way shows that there is a God and that those who doubt God’s existence should reconsider their beliefs.
Speaking about how he has seen his faith change in the wake of the shocking assassination attempt and his seemingly miraculous avoidance of the assassin’s multiple rounds that would have hit his head had he not moved it at just the exactly right moment, Trump said, “I’m a believer. Now, I’m more of a believer.”
Listen to that here:
Trump made some other awesome comments during the interview. At one point, for instance, he contrasted Kamala with Melania, saying, “She looks like the most beautiful actress ever to live. It was a drawing, and actually she looked very much like a great first lady, Melania. She didn’t look like Kamala. But, of course, she’s a beautiful woman.”
In the wake of the interview, Harris-Walz 2024 spokesperson Joseph Costello sounded off on the space, mocked the long time it took to get it going properly, and claimed that Trump is running his campaign for the express benefit of self-obsessed oligarchs who are destroying the American middle class.
Costello said, “Donald Trump’s extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature not a glitch of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever that was on X.com. Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself — self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.”
Musk claimed that the “glitch” that meant people had trouble getting onto the space was not a glitch, but rather a Distributed Denial of Service, or DDoS, attack that made the space overwhelmed and thus non-functional. He wrote, in a post on X as the problem took the platform by storm, “There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on 𝕏. Working on shutting it down. Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later.”
