Keanu Reeves has been dating Alexandra Grant for quite some time. The two looked lovely as they walked the red carpet at a recent art event.
The 58-year-old Matrix star wore a black suit with a striped tie, while Grant stood out in a scarlet gown.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple held hands throughout the event, which took place at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles.
The pair is perhaps most known for keeping the facts of their lives and relationship confidential. Reeves, on the other hand, recently went down for an interview with PEOPLE and spoke about his pleasure with his artist partner.
When asked when he last felt blissful, the John Wick star responded, “A couple of days ago with my honey.” We were both asleep. We were linked. We were giggling, laughing, and smiling. I’m in a good mood. It was simply wonderful to be together.”
Ironically, the pair revealed their connection to the public for the first time at an art event. This was at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s (LACMA) Art and Film Gala in November 2019.
They met in 2011 after working on joint projects together. Most notably, Grant designed the artwork for Reeves’ poetry collections Ode to Happiness and Shadows.
Grant received his bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College in 1994 and has been a well-known artist for many years. Her work has been shown in museums and galleries around the world, including LACMA, Galerie Gradiva in Paris, and The Harris Lieberman Gallery in New York.
Grant has received internet criticism despite her professional achievements and seemingly stable partnership. Whether or not she is in a private relationship, many social media users have commented on her naturally grey hair.
Grant responded on Instagram, writing, “I got grey prematurely in my early 20s… and coloured my hair every colour in the process until I couldn’t stand the toxicity of the colours any longer. I let my hair become ‘blonde’ in my 30s.
“I love and support the fact that every womxn can choose how she wants to look at any age,” she added. “But/and, if women are dying as a result of beauty standards… then let us talk about those beauty standards.” “I love all women!”
Grant also talked out about her long-term relationship with Reeves in an interview with Vogue in 2020, answering to the issue of marriage with:
“With a glass of wine… I wish I could tell you. Love is fundamental to my identity on many levels. That’s one way to avoid answering the question.
“I don’t think isolation is the answer.” As a painter, I go through periods of isolation, yet I enjoy the sensation of being in partnerships.”
According to Reeves’ close pals, the actor is confident that Grant is “the one.” These rumours have spurred rumours about Reeves proposing, which he has been contemplating with his inner group, according to Closer Weekly.
“Keanu has made it clear that he intends to propose to Alexandra. “His friends know how happy he’s been; he’s talked about marrying Alexandra, and he was recently spotted ring shopping in West Hollywood,” added the person.
