This is my father mowing my mother’s lawn. They’ve been divorced 28 years.

I told them “Because, She needed help, and he knew she couldn’t get out here to do it, so he did” This is co-parenting. 

This illustrates how lucky I am to have four parents who respect one another and understand that, in the end, the only thing that matters is teaching your kids—even those who are 32 years old—how to treat people and how to love your family, regardless of how it was put together.

His daughter said,

When my younger siblings questioned “Why is your dad mowing moms lawn?” I told them “Because, She needed help, and he knew she couldn’t get out here to do it, so he did” This is co parenting. This is how lucky I am to have 4 parents who respect each other, and know that at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is showing your children (Even ones that are 32 years old) how to treat people, and how to love your family, no matter how it came together. Despite no longer living together, he helped her while he was on vacation. Her parents agreed to be mature and show compassion and respect to each other after their divorce.

The girl’s mother and father have both remarried, but she still looks up to them and respects all four of her parents, who are able to co-parent effectively.
