Kat Von D Blacks Out Tattoos After Ditching The Occult For Christ
Kat Von D recently opened up in an interview with Inked Magazine about “satisfying” process of blacking out many of her tattoos. “I think I had been fed up with a lot of the tattoos I got over the years for a long time,” she told the outlet. “I just couldn’t explain how satisfying it was to see all the messes [tattoo artist Hoode] would clean up with his blackout tattoo work.” She continued, “I think at that time I thought I would just black out an arm, but shortly after, I knew I would end up tattooing my whole body.” She shared more details about her decision to cover her tattoos in a 2022 Instagram post where she said, “Before anyone starts criticizing, I encourage you to remember that it’s ok not to like or even understand things. Trust me, I’ve seen plenty of tattoos I personally would never get. And those differences make this world so much more interesting! So no need to comment any negativity.” She continued, “Just know that I absolutely LOVE it, and it’s extremely refreshing for me to see all the garbage, drunken tattoos I had scribbled all over my leg that I got before I became sober, be covered by sleekness and simplicity.”
