Modern Cozy Cottage in Horse Country

When you travel down the long gravel driveway, which was once THE main county road, forget about your worries. furthermore, enter the confidential entryways of “The Ranchito. ” Stay in this charming guest cottage on a horse farm, a 100-year-old homestead, and the center of a popular moonshine operation during prohibition. Step back in time. Explore the 11-acre country setting, which includes a gorgeous 6-acre horse pasture with six friendly horses for you to meet and snap some Instagram-worthy photos with.

 

Think back to a simpler time when things were slower. Step outside your door and snip some fresh chives for your omelet, or enjoy farm-fresh eggs from our free-range chickens. When blackberries and pears are in season, wander the property and make sure to pick some fresh ones. Roast smores in your firepit or cook your dinner on cast iron over open flames in the evening. Let the sounds of the country forest or rain, as nothing beats the sound of rain on a country tin roof, soothe you to sleep at night. If you’re lucky in the morning, you might be able to spot a herd of deer that likes to eat the wild strawberries that are all over the land.

This more recent cottage has an open floor plan and cathedral ceilings made of Georgia pine, cedar, and the original wood from the old barn that was on the homestead before it was built.

A small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and Keurig coffee maker with a starter pack of coffee pods and sugar are included in the kitchenette. Roasting sticks, a cast-iron skillet, and a tea kettle are also included in the cottage to get you started.

There is a comfortable queen-size bed, a twin bed in the loft, and a full-size futon for sleeping.

We offer a steamer, but we do not have an iron.

You can use your smart TV login to watch Netflix and other streaming services.

We provide sufficient towels for your stay and any additional towels you may require.

Your stay includes a roll of toilet paper and paper towels. We kindly request that you pick up a little more if you require more due to costs and shortages.
