Missing Boy Found in Woods, State Troopers Astonished by His Animal Protector

According to the New Jersey State Police, a 4-year-old boy went missing one Wednesday evening after wandering away from his home in Buena Vista Township. The area, filled with dense woods and potential dangers for a young child, could have been perilous. However, the child was not alone on his journey.

Accompanying the boy on his unplanned adventure was the family’s loyal Lab, who chose to stay close as the child strayed further from home.

Thankfully, after about an hour, state troopers, along with the boy’s mother, found them. Body camera footage from the dramatic rescue vividly shows the Lab’s unwavering commitment to the boy’s safety, never once leaving his side.

“We are thankful to report that, thanks to the swift response of the troopers and the boy’s mother, the frightened child was found safe and in good health,” stated the New Jersey State Police.
