Easy Creamy Yummy Garlic Lemon Chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 chicken breasts, cut slits about 1/2 inch apart across
  • 5 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup of water or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup of cream
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • Butter and vegetable oil
  • Nutmeg, salt and black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 2: Heat vegetable oil and butter in a pan then sear the chicken breasts on both sides until they turn golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan.
Step 3: Finely chop the onion and garlic.
Step 4: Add butter to the pan and sauté the chopped onions until transparent.
Step 5: Add water or chicken broth, and the juice of half a lemon.
Step 6: Chop the parsley and add it to the sauce. Add cream, salt, and nutmeg. Stir the sauce well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Step 7: Return the chicken to the pan and drizzle the sauce on top. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Garnish with the parsley and lemon slices (optional) and serve immediately.
