Ingredients
You’ll need the following things to make a delicious Woolworth Icebox Cheesecake that doesn’t require baking:
Crumbs from 2 graham crackers
a half cup of melted unsalted butter
1 cup of white sugar, granulated
Two softened 8-ounce containers of cream cheese
Vanilla extract, one teaspoon’s worth
Thawed and ready to use frozen whipped topping: 1 (8-ounce) container
Cherry pie filling, one can (not required).
Instructions
First, make the crust.
Mix the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs in a medium basin. Combine thoroughly so that the butter is uniformly distributed throughout the crumbs.
Compact the crumbs into the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. You can compact the crumbs with the back of a spoon or the bottom of a flat glass.
While you’re making the filling, chill the baking dish in the fridge.
Making the Cheesecake Filling is Step 2.
Cream cheese should be beaten in a large mixing basin until it is fluffy and smooth.
Combine the cream cheese with the granulated sugar and vanilla essence. Keep on pounding until everything is evenly blended and silky smooth.
After the whipped topping has thawed, gently fold it into the mixture.
Third, put the cheesecake together.
Get the crust out of the fridge to room temperature.
Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the crust after pouring it on top.
Cherry pie filling, or another fruit topping of your choosing, can be spread on top of the cheesecake if desired.
Phase 4: Refrigerate and Serve
Put the cheesecake in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but ideally overnight, covered with plastic wrap. This is necessary for the cheesecake’s flavors to combine and for the cheesecake to solidify.
When the cheesecake has had enough time to set in the fridge, take it out.
Squares or slices, whichever you like, will do for the cheesecake.
Have fun eating it cold!
